Day 01: AUCKLAND
Arrive Auckland International Airport in morning. On arrival proceed for Immigration & Customs clearance. On arrival meet your driver in arrival lobby and proceed towards hotel for check in. (Normal check in time is at 1400 Hrs, earlier check in would be subject to availability). Later in evening after getting freshen up, proceed towards Sky Tower, enjoy the glittering view of the beautiful Auckland city, later walk back to the hotel. Overnight at Auckland.
Day 02: AUCKLAND – PAIHIA (BAY OF ISLAND)
After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed towards Auckland bus station from where you have to embark on coach to proceed towards Paihia city of Bay of Islands located in northern direction. The Bay of Islands is a stunning region consisting of 144 islands, abundant in natural wonder and marine life. Bay of Islands is a natural wonderland where you can encounter bottlenose and common dolphins, whales, seals, penguins and a diverse range of birdlife (marine encounters are all natural only and not guaranteed). On arrival check in hotel and relax for the day. You can explore the small town or simply enjoy the sea side natural beauty. Overnight at Paihia.
Day 03: PAIHIA (BAY OF ISLAND)
After breakfast proceed towards pier to embark on Hole in the Rock Cruise. Enjoy Cruising through the sheltered waters of the Bay of Islands. Enjoy the views as you cruise past the Cape Brett Lighthouse, before arriving at the majestic Hole in the Rock – hold your breath as the skipper navigates through the narrow space and admire the rock walls which soar above you. Take in the Grand Cathedral Cave before heading back into the sheltered waters of the Bay. Arrive back to pier and return back to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at Paihia.
Day 04: PAIHIA – AUCKLAND
After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Auckland city. On arrival enjoy city tour, see firsthand why Auckland is known as the City of Sails as you enjoy a trip over the Harbour Bridge. Visit the famous Auckland landmark of Mount Eden, a dormant volcano whose summit offers excellent panoramic views of the city and harbours. Your next stop will be at Kelly Tarltons Underwater World and Penguin Encounter. Here you will get a rare opportunity to see the sub – Antarctic Penguins. A unique snowcat ride brings you within arms length of the 80-strong colony of King and Gentoo penguins to watch their playful antics on the snow and their elegant flight underwater. Later continue your visit to Underwater World, enjoy viewing some incredible deep sea creatures like Shark, turtles, giant stingrays, sea horses and many more marine species. Later continue your sightseeing by visiting some remarkable areas like Tamaki Drive, Michelle Savage Point, drive through Parnell Village and down town area. Evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight at Auckland.
Day 05: AUCKLAND – WAITOMO – ROTORUA
Enjoy breakfast in Hotel. Check out hotel and proceed in south direction towards Rotorua. Enroute take a stop at Waitomo Caves, enjoy the tour with experienced tour guide who will deliver a highly informative commentary about the formations and history of the area. The highlight of the tour is an unrivalled boat trip through the spectacular Glow Worm Grotto. Later continue your scenic drive through the lush green landscapes towards Rotorua. Arrive Rotorua in evening, nestled on the shores of Lake Rotorua and also known as heartland of Maori Culture. On arrival check in Hotel and relax for the day. Overnight at Rotorua.
Day 06: ROTORUA
Enjoy breakfast in Hotel. Today you will visit well known attraction for which Rotorua is more popular. Begin with your first stop at Te Puia, the premier Māori cultural centre in New Zealand – a place of gushing waters, steaming vents, boiling mud pools and spectacular geysers. Here you will see natural formation of hot water fountain, a Kiwi bird in Kiwi house. Your next stop is at Agrodome Sheep Shearing Show, here you will get to see various breeds of Sheeps and a demonstration of shearing done in couple of minutes. You will also shown about a demonstration of dogs who are trained to keep all sheeps together in vast farmland. Later before returning back to city take a stop at Rainbow Springs where you get to see Sprout Fishes which are commonly found in lakes of New Zealand. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities, you can opt for an optional floating plane ride for a short tour or volcanic islands tour. Or you can opt to get relaxed in sulphur water at Polynesian Spa. Overnight at Rotorua.
Day 07: ROTORUA – CHRISTCHURCH
After breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed towards Rotorua Airport where on arrival check in your flight for Christchurch. On arrival at Christchurch, pick up your south island car and check in hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the city.
Day 08: CHRISTCHURCH – MT. COOK
After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Mt. Cook, the highest mountain of New Zealand, scaled to 12,316 feet high. Mt. Cook National Park has always remained most important spots for tourist. Enroute enjoy the scenic drive passing through Canterbury Farmlands, Lake Tekapo, take a stop at Good German Shephard Church on the shores of Lake Tekapo and enjoy the magnificent view of southern alps that can be seen behind the beautiful lake. Continue your journey further towards Mt. Cook and take diversion from the main highway once you pass through another scenic lake i.e. Lake Pukaki. Enroute take a stop at Glentanner Park from where you can get an opportunity of enjoying (optional) Helicopter ride which takes you upto the snow mountain from where you can get spectacular view of Tasman Valley, closer view of Mt. Cook and beautiful Southern Alps. Later continue for a short drive further towards the base of Mt. Cook, and check in Hotel Hermitage. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities, or you can enjoy the short walk on the country side.
Day 09: MT. COOK – QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Queenstown. On arrival at Queenstown, check in hotel and relax for the day. Rest of the day is free to explore the scenic town. Overnight at Queenstown.
Day 10: QUEENSTOWN – MILFORD CRUISE (OVERNIGHT)
Enjoy early morning breakfast, and later proceed towards one of the most scenic attraction Milford Sound, Milford Sound is a world-renowned natural wonder. Nowhere else in Fiordland do the mountains stand so tall, straight out of the sea. The Milford Road (between Te Anau and Milford) is one of the finest alpine drives in the world. The scenery is exceptional, ranging from broad grassy flats, dense rainforest, and towering mountains through to glacial lakes and alpine herb fields. Journey across the Southern Alps and travel deep into the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km tunnel drilled through solid rock. Uncover Eglinton Valley, a place of ancient alpine forest and gushing waterfalls, take photos of the stunning Mirror Lakes, then walk across The Chasm. On arrival check in Milford Wanderer Overnight Cruise and relax for the day. As you explore the fiord, keep a lookout for wildlife, especially fur seals resting on rocks. In the late afternoon, the Milford Wanderer will moor in a sheltered cove, allowing you to go exploring with a nature guide in the kayaks and tender craft (small boat). As the shadows deepen, the Milford Wanderer will return under sail (weather permitting) to Harrison Cove for the night. Enjoy a three-course meal in the cosy saloon and relax in the company of like-minded travelers.
Day 11: MILFORD – QUEENSTOWN
Enjoy leisurely breakfast onboard. Your cruise arrives back at Milford pier in afternoon. Later in afternoon meet your coach captain and proceed towards Queenstown. On arrival check in Hotel and relax for the day.
Day 12: QUEENSTOWN
Enjoy breakfast in hotel. Today's day is free for leisure and optional activities. You can opt for some thrilling adventures like Sky Dive, Bungy Jumping, Jet Boating or Off road 4 Wheel Drive etc. Overnight at Queenstown.
Day 13: QUEENSTOWN – FRANZ JOSEF
After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed towards Franz Josef located near west coast. Enjoy the long drive viewing high mountain peaks and the stunning blue lakes of Dunstan, Wanaka and Hawea. Drive through Haast Pass – the southernmost pass between the East and West coasts of the South Island. On arrival at Franz Josef check in hotel and relax for the day.
Day 14: FRANZ JOSEF
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Today's whole day is free for you to enjoy (optional) Helicopter ride which takes you upto the snow mountain from where you can get spectacular view of Glaciers and other snow capped mountains. Or you can opt for Guided Glacier walk, enjoy once in a life time experience of walking on glaciers.
Day 15: FRANZ JOSEF – GREY MOUTH – CHRISTCHURCH
After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Christchurch – well known as Garden city. Enjoy the coastal drive on shores of Tasman Sea between Hokitika and Greymouth, popular for a long gold mining history. It's the largest town on the west coast and is known for its awesome seascapes. Enjoy your drive viewing Classic west coast river, forest scenery that leads you to east. Rushing water, impressive bridges and tiny towns gradually give way to the misty mountains of the Southern Alps. The route known as Arthur's Pass was first used by Maori tribes crossing to the west coast to find pounamu (jade). Today it's a sophisticated mountain pass, memorable for its scenery as well as its breathtaking civil engineering. The road follows the Waimakariri and Bealey Rivers down to the skiing areas of Porter Heights and Craigieburn. Lakes Pearson and Grasmere are photo opportunities along the way. Rural serenity and friendly towns lead you across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch. You'll pass Kirwee, Darfield, Sheffield and Springfield. On arrival at Christchurch, check in hotel and relax for the day.
Day 16: CHRISTCHURCH – KAIKOURA – CHRISTCHURCH
Enjoy breakfast at hotel, spend today's day getting close to nature on Kaikoura Whale Watching tour from Christchurch. Travel by road through the rolling hill country of North Canterbury, enjoying the beauty of its rural pastoral scenes, to Kaikoura where mountains meet sea. Kaikoura is world renowned for the variety of marine mammals which can be seen, not least of all the giant sperm whales and the acrobatic Dusky Dolphins. On arrival in Kaikoura proceed on a whale watch tour by boat. On the tour you may view the giant sperm whale and often other whale species, dolphins, seals and the Royal Albatross. Return back to Christchurch in evening and relax for the day.
Day 17: CHRISTCHURCH – Departure
After breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Christchurch International Airport. On arrival drop off your rental car and check in your flight to return home with Happy Memories of 100% Pure New Zealand.
